BUFFALO GROVE, IL (April 6, 2020)
– MNJ Technologies, a midmarket-focused IT solution and services provider, today announced that company president Susan Kozak has been named to the 2020 Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Women Over 50 list. Kozak has shepherded MNJ’s growth for the past 18 years, including helping transition the company from its origins as a hardware reseller to its current role as a technology problem solver and managed services provider focused on optimizing customer operations and costs to advance their business performance.
Kozak co-founded MNJ with her husband Paul in 2002, entering the technology field at a time when few women held leadership positions. She has presided over the growth of the company to nearly 125 employees and helped reshape the firm’s go-to-market strategy amid technology shifts that have undermined the business model of conventional value-added resellers.
MNJ’s pivot from hardware seller to solution seller and associated emphasis on new services such as network connectivity have yielded major revenue growth in the past two years as well as three-time recognition on CRN’s 2020 Managed Service Provider (MSP) 500 list in the Elite 150 category.
Kozak also has moved to support women in the local IT community by initiating an MNJ-sponsored annual networking event. The inaugural 2019 event took place at a local glass-blowing studio and the 2020 event is scheduled to bring women together at a Cirque du Soleil performance.
“When we launched MNJ 18 years ago, women in the IT industry were few and far between. Things have changed dramatically since then, although there are still far fewer women than men in executive positions,” Kozak said. “It’s been gratifying to see the shift, not only in the IT space but in the business world overall.”
The entire list of 2020 Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Women Over 50 appears in today’s edition of Crain’s.
